O Dia Mundial da Água, foi instituido pela ONU em 1992, com o objetivo de reforçar a importância da água em nossas vidas e ao meio ambiente,procurando preservá-la . O uso ineficiente, a degradação da água pela poluição, a exploração desordenada das reservas de águas subterrâneas, causando a escassez deste recurso natural;

Acredito que aqui no Brasil, devemos investir mais em coleta seletiva, principalmente na coleta relacionada a REEE (RESÍDUOS DE EQUIPAMENTOS ELETROELETRÔNICOS). É o "lixo do futuro" devido ao grande descarte do material, principalmente celulares e baterias, que podem contaminar o solo e consequentemente o lençol freático, dentre outros fatores. Tenho um projeto  link http://www.projetoaqua.com  que desenvolvo anualmente com os meus alunos desde 2007. I believe that here in Brazil, we should invest more in selective collection, mainly in the collection related to WEEE (WASTE FROM ELECTRONIC ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT). It is the "garbage of the future" due to the great disposal of the material, mainly cell phones and batteries, which can contaminate the soil and consequently the water table, among other factors. I have a project link http://www.projetoaqua.com that I develop annually with my students since 2007. We addressed this topic in 2013, but your awareness is still extremely necessary today.

O projeto AQUA. Participou em 2017 do Prêmio Respostas para o Amanhã. Com o projeto Dia Mundial da Água 2017, sob coordenação do professor de matemática Wellington Genuíno, onde foi abordado a falta de água no bairro onde a escola está inserida, chegando a ser Semifinalista. Já fomos vencedores no Prêmio Construindo a Nação, quando abordamos os alagamentos no bairro de Jardim Brasil em Olinda (2008/2009).

The AQUA project. Participated in 2017 of the Responses to Tomorrow Award. With the project World Water Day 2017, coordinated by Wellington Genuino, a professor of mathematics, where the lack of water was approached in the neighborhood where the school is inserted, becoming a Semifinalist. We were already winners in the Building the Nation Award, when we covered the floods in the neighborhood of Jardim Brasil in Olinda (2008/2009).
